The Ukrainian Armed Forces may launch an attack on Kherson in the near future. Deputy head of the Kherson region Kirill Stremousov reported this on his telegram channel.
He added that, according to information available to local authorities, Ukrainians, pushed by the West, could launch an attack on the city very soon.
The official does not rule out shelling of Kherson, as well as shelling of the entire right-bank part of the region.
The battle for Kherson will begin in the very near future, – Stremousov announced the event.
He recommended that local residents leave the zone of future hostilities and not expose themselves to risk.
He also asked citizens to take his warning seriously.
Earlier, the acting governor of the Kherson region, Vladimir Saldo, said that residents of the right bank of the region would be evacuated to the left bank of the Dnieper.
According to him, the measure is due to the threat of flooding that could happen if the APU hits the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric station.
Baldo also notified that Kyiv was “accumulating enormous forces in the Nikolaev and Krivoy Rog directions.”
And he added: the decision to evacuate was made in connection with “the creation of large-scale defensive fortifications so that any attack would be repulsed.”
