The British publication named weapons that threaten NATO security

Commenting on the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin on the development of Poseidon nuclear torpedoes, the British publication Express called them a weapon that threatens the security of NATO.

The author of the material, Rohan Gupta, draws attention to the characteristics of the product that make it invulnerable and fatal.

Today, there are no technological solutions in the world that can counter Russian developments, the journalist writes about the Poseidon as a fully functioning torpedo.

The author calls the strategic impact of the new product incredible. A torpedo can cause a destructive tsunami and more.

The material states that the torpedo can move at speeds of up to 200 kilometers per hour, while maneuvering and remaining undetected by NATO control systems.

It is impossible to intercept it, and after the device reaches its target, a destructive tsunami will cover the coast of a potential enemy.

Today in the world there are no weapons that could counter these systems, MIA quotes Gupta as saying.

People first started talking about Poseidon in 2018 after Vladimir Putin’s message to the Federal Assembly. At the same time, it became known that the torpedo could be used against aircraft carrier groups, coastal fortifications and other infrastructure.

The drones will be carried by multi-purpose nuclear submarines of the Belgorod and Khabarovsk classes.
