The International Center for the Investigation of Alleged War Crimes in Ukraine began working at Eurojust in The Hague.

To mark the opening of the department, an opening ceremony was held, which was attended by Eurojust President Ladislav Hamran and other European officials.

“We are neutral towards each side of the military conflict, but we are on the side of justice”– RIA Novosti from ICC prosecutor Karim Khan, who attended the opening ceremony.

Khan also noted that crime investigation should be a common endeavor for everyone who wants to build a better future for our children.

The ICC prosecutor added that the creation of this center was supported by the United States.

During the ceremony, the US Attorney General noted that the appointed representative, Jessica Kim, will receive unlimited access to a large amount of data and information.

The United States has already said that it is going to make a general contribution to the formation of the database of the new department.
