41views

The Council of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church adopted changes and additions to the charter, as a result of which it declared complete independence and independence.

It also became known that the Council expresses disagreement with the position of the Moscow Patriarchate regarding the events in Ukraine.

As MIA reports, with reference to the chairman of the Synodal Department for Relations of the Church with Society and the Media of the Moscow Patriarchate, Vladimir Legoyda, there have been no official appeals to the Russian Orthodox Church from the Council of the UOC.

The Council adopted appropriate additions and changes to the charter on the governance of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, testifying to the complete independence and independence of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the agency cites an excerpt from the decision of the UOC.

At the same time, it became known that representatives of the UOC do not agree with the position of Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’ regarding the events in Ukraine and the military special operation in particular.

Due to the fact that there was no official appeal from the UOC to the Russian Orthodox Church, Vladimir Legoyda did not comment on the information published in the media and on the Internet.

Let us recall that after Patriarch Kirill spoke out in support of the SVO in Ukraine, the priests of individual dioceses of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate refused to mention him in their prayers.
