The world-famous Telegram messenger will soon stop working in Spain.

The fact is that a local court decided to block this service.

The decision was made by the judge of the National Judicial College, Santiago Pedras, calling the blocking a measure to secure the claim.

The TASS agency reported about the event, citing a source in the “legal authority.”

However, the publication’s interlocutor did not say exactly when the court’s decision will come into force.

But he said that the lawsuit mentioned above was filed by the media companies Mediaset, Atresmedia and Movistar Plus.

Their representatives believe that audio and video content protected by copyright may be used unauthorizedly on Telegram.

Judge Pedraz issued the ruling in response to the companies’ request for precautionary measures.

Accordingly, the decision should block the functioning of the messenger in Spain for the period of the investigation.

The judge decided to temporarily limit the work of Telegram due to the fact that he did not receive a response to his request.

The Russian news agency notes that the messenger is currently still working in Spain.

Earlier in Kyrgyzstan, a man under his house built a 130-meter tunnel to Uzbekistan.
