The Czech Foreign Ministry demanded from Russia guarantees of non-aggression on neighboring countries
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic demanded from the Russian Federation guarantees of non-aggression against neighboring countries.
This statement was made by the head of the Czech Foreign Ministry, Jan Lipavsky.
What guarantees does the Czech Republic require from Russia?
Lipavsky recalled that in early December, French President Emmanuel Macron said that the West needs to think about what guarantees to provide Russia when it returns to peace negotiations on Ukraine.
The head of Czech diplomacy believes that Russia should give neighboring countries guarantees of non-aggression.
It is important that there is no division of forces without Ukraine, the countries of Central Europe or the Baltics, – the minister said in an interview.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that there would be no discussion of security guarantees as long as NATO instructors and mercenaries are in Ukraine and until the realities on the ground determined by Russia are recognized.
