On the night of Friday, March 31, 2023, the General Assembly of the Turkish Parliament ratified the protocol on Finland’s accession to NATO.

It is known that 276 parliamentarians of the country voted for this decision.

There were 276 votes for ratification of the protocol on Finland’s accession to NATO, the proposal was accepted. Congratulations to Finland and its citizens, – Deputy Speaker of Parliament Haidar Akar MIA “Russia Today”.

Previously, Helsinki’s entry into the North Atlantic Alliance was supported by the Hungarian parliament (Monday).

Türkiye was the last member of the military-political bloc to make a decision on this issue.

Let us remind you that Finland, like Sweden, submitted an application to join NATO in May 2022.

Initially, Ankara blocked their consideration, but on June 29, together with Helsinki and Stockholm, it signed a memorandum in the security field.

This document specifies all the wishes of Turkey and its concerns in connection with the intention of these countries to join NATO.

Ankara stated that if its conditions are met, it will give the green light to replenish the Alliance.
