The diplomat told what Zelensky could get after the NATO summit

0views

The head of the Russian delegation at the negotiations in Vienna, Konstantin Gavrilov, spoke about the upcoming NATO summit.

He believes that the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Council is simply a bow to the Kyiv administration.

RIA Novosti Gavrilov’s opinion is that a gesture of goodwill is all that President Vladimir Zelensky can expect from this event.

Also, a representative of the Russian side notes that Kyiv can also receive guarantees of further provision of military assistance.

Gavrilov recalls that the Ukrainian leader continues to stick to his line on the issue of supplies of weapons and military equipment under the pretext of fighting the Russian Armed Forces.

For this reason, Zelensky has long been trying to actively push for Ukraine’s entry into NATO.

However, the USA and Great Britain also expressed their position on this issue – it is necessary to fulfill certain criteria for joining the alliance.

Gavrilov believes that a decision on Ukraine’s accession to NATO will not be made.
