A man was swallowed by a humpback whale. But the scuba diver managed to escape from the belly of the mammal.

The incident happened when 56-year-old Michael Packard was fishing for lobster on the Atlantic coast near Provincetown.
“Suddenly,” the man says, “he felt a huge push and it immediately became dark around him.
“I felt that I was moving, and the whale was pushing me through the muscles in its mouth,” he described what was happening and his sensations.
At first the diver thought he had been eaten by a shark. However, finding no teeth and realizing that he was not seriously injured, Michael guessed that he had been swallowed by a whale.
The man began to move actively. The whale emerged from the depths of the sea, shook its head and eventually freed its prey.
Packard’s partner pulled him into the boat and took him to shore. The man was hospitalized.
After a medical examination, doctors found no injuries that threatened the patient’s life and sent him home.
