0views

According to data from the Flightradar service, an American Boeing 747-E4B doomsday plane landed in Vilnius, where the NATO summit is taking place.

This plane took off from the territory of Maryland, where the Andrews military base is located.

The aircraft’s route can be tracked on the official Flightradar24.

The Doomsday aircraft belongs to the US Navy – it is an improved version of the above-mentioned model.

Its main function is to transport the Pentagon’s reserve command post in the event of a nuclear military conflict.

The aircraft is ready to fly on a permanent basis – it can take off at any time after receiving the appropriate order.

A NATO summit is currently taking place in Vilnius, during which a number of issues will be discussed, including the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.

At the moment, it is not clear why this plane was needed in Vilnius, since it belongs to the military category.
