The Druzhba oil pipeline line, through which oil is pumped to Germany, has been shut down.
The reasons given are a leak in Poland. It is reported that the second line of the oil pipeline is operating without changes, there is no threat to the lives of the local population.
On Saturday evening, PERN automation systems detected a depressurization of the Druzhba pipeline in the Chodecz area on one of the two lines of the western section through which oil flows to Germany, writes MIA “” with reference to a message from the Polish pipeline operator PERN.
After discovering the leak, the company’s specialists stopped pumping along the damaged thread.
It is not known what caused the damage. It is known that there is no threat to the life and health of the local population.
Other PERN infrastructure is operating as normal, and Polish oil refineries receive raw materials on schedule; the leak will not affect the fuel supply to the population.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the leak.
Emergency government services and PERN emergency services are working at the scene of the emergency.
It is known that after the consequences of the oil spill are eliminated, reclamation of the site will begin.
