The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has ruled on the situation at the EU border.
The international judicial body demanded that Latvia and Poland help the refugees.
We are talking about migrants who arrived from the Middle East region and were counting on help from the European Union, but were stuck at the Belarusian border.
According to the court decision, Riga and Warsaw must provide illegal immigrants with temporary residence and clothing.
In addition, migrants must have access to medical care, the TV channel reports.
It is noted that the ECHR considered and satisfied the application of several dozen refugees who complained about the lack of international protection from EU countries.
Moreover, migrants reported expulsions, torture, and violations of their integrity.
The judicial body emphasized that assistance to refugees should be provided by Poland and Latvia in the next 3 weeks.
