0views

The European Commission punished Poland through a fine: it withheld 100 million euros from the money owed to it.

The reason for the decision was that Warsaw refused to comply with the ruling of the European Union Court.

About this MIA “Russia Today” with reference to the European Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders.

Poland was sentenced to pay a fine of one million euros daily due to its failure to comply with the decision of the disciplinary chamber for judges, – he said in an interview with one of the Belgian TV channels.

The European Commissioner clarified: this amount has already increased to 160 million euros, and more than one hundred million have been withheld.

Let us note that earlier the Court of the European Union (located in Luxembourg) by its decision ordered Warsaw to pay one million euros per day to the European Commission.

These payments are a fine with which Poland was punished for refusing to comply with an earlier decision and stop the work of the disciplinary chamber for judges.
