The European Commission is sounding the alarm: it sees the risk of conflicts between EU countries over water
The European Commission is sounding the alarm: it has learned that the European Union is on the verge of violent conflicts between its countries.
European politicians cite the existing risk of water shortage as the reason for this.
Politico writes about this, citing a document from the European Commission at its disposal.
According to a publication reviewed by Rossiya Segodnya, there may be “increased competition for water resources.”
And if this happens, the situation could lead to an outbreak of “conflicts within and between member states.”
In light of these disappointing circumstances, the EC intends to urge EU member states to speed up preparations to combat climate change.
The article also indicates that the European Commission plans to familiarize the EU states with the mentioned document next week.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that Ukraine is Europe’s East and West.
