The first ship left the port of Odessa along the temporary corridor opened by Ukraine

0views

The first ship departed from the Odessa port, traveling along a temporary corridor that was opened by the Ukrainian side.

We are talking about the container ship Joseph Schulte, the cargo weight of which is 30,000 tons.

Alexander Kubrakov, head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure, wrote about this.

The statesman shared information about the event on his personal page on the social network.

The first ship took advantage of the temporary corridor for merchant ships to/from the ports of Greater Odessa, – MIA quotes the words of the minister.

The official emphasized: the Joseph Schulte vessel was located in the port of Odessa for a year and a half.

The container ship is currently heading towards the Bosphorus Strait.

Let us remind you that the opening of temporary corridors was announced by the Ukrainian Navy.

It was noted that the zones are intended for the movement of merchant ships heading to the ports (or, on the contrary, leaving the ports) of Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny.

The Ukrainian side emphasized: ships traveling along the corridors will move “under the supervision” of the Ukrainian armed forces. However, later one of the representatives of the Ukrainian Navy said that it was impossible to talk about the possibility of ensuring complete safety for the ships.
