0views

Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for Human Rights Grigory Lukyantsev spoke about Western policy regarding this issue.

He says that Western countries and Russia no longer support dialogue regarding human rights.

RIA Novosti Lukyantsev’s opinion is that the West does not want to take into account a point of view that runs counter to its political course.

The Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry notes that Russia and the West no longer communicate on human rights issues, since Western countries do not want to listen to an alternative point of view.

Lukyantsev added that organizations such as OHCHR understand the importance of politicizing human rights, but do not recognize it.

In his opinion, some countries still use human rights as an excuse to interfere in the affairs of other states.

The Special Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry adds that this approach is quite widespread in the world community.
