German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock stated the need to create a defensive umbrella of air defense systems over the infrastructure of Ukraine.

The head of the German Foreign Ministry made this statement in an interview with the German publication Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

What does Burbock offer?

In an interview, Berbock noted that her visit to a substation near Kiev once again showed the relevance of protecting Ukraine’s electricity, heat and water supplies on the eve of winter.

The minister called for the creation of a defensive umbrella of air defense systems over the critical infrastructure of Ukraine by winter.

I appeal to us and our partners: we must extend the winter air defense umbrella over the critical infrastructure of Ukraine, – said the head of German diplomacy.

She clarified that Berlin plans to additionally transfer IRIS-T air defense systems to Ukraine before the winter and ask the allies to provide their air defense systems at least for a limited period.

The minister once again did not answer the question about Ukraine’s demands to transfer Taurus long-range cruise missiles.

Before you announce certain things, you need to make sure they will work, Burbock said.

Let us remind you that yesterday the head of the German Foreign Ministry made an unannounced visit to Ukraine. This is Burbock’s fourth visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian special operation.
