The German Prosecutor General’s Office made an unpleasant statement for the West about the investigation into Nord Stream.

As part of the examination and study of soil and water samples, the investigation was unable to confirm the version of sabotage and prove Russia’s involvement in the explosion of the gas pipeline.

German Prosecutor General Peter Frank said in an interview with the publication that the version of Russia’s involvement in the bombing of the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines has not been confirmed.

To date, German experts do not have such evidence.

It is known that to carry out the examination, two research vessels took samples of soil and water at the scene of the incident, and fragments of destroyed pipelines were also examined.

No connection between the incident and Russia’s actions was found, but the investigation continues, the department spokesman added.

Let us recall that explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines, through which Russian gas flows to Europe, occurred on September 26 last year.

After the incident, the authorities of Germany, Denmark and Sweden stated that they did not exclude the possibility of sabotage.

The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office opened a case on an act of international terrorism. After an investigation at the scene, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the explosion at Nord Stream was an obvious terrorist attack.
