The German Defense Minister has announced the date when Ukraine will receive the German Leopard 2 tanks promised to it.

According to a statement by Boris Pistorius, Kyiv will be able to receive combat vehicles by the end of March this year.

And they will be sent “at the end of the first quarter,” the TASS agency quotes the head of the defense department.

At the same time, Mr. Pistorius emphasized that Ukraine will receive the promised tanks “in a timely manner.”

It was previously reported that, in total, Kyiv’s Western allies are ready to supply it with about a hundred of their tanks in addition to the already supplied (from 350 to 400) Soviet ones.

And on January 25, the German government announced that Berlin would send 14 “leopards” from its army reserves to Ukraine.

In addition, the German authorities gave the go-ahead to other countries that have the mentioned “leopards” to re-export them.

US President Joe Biden announced the decision to supply Ukraine with dozens of American M1 Abrams tanks.

He clarified: The States will transfer 31 such tanks to Kyiv.
