What Lindner suggested

The head of the German Ministry of Finance noted that Germany has already provided assistance to Ukraine worth 22 billion euros.

The minister clarified that this amount includes both military and humanitarian assistance, including for the reception of Ukrainian refugees.

I proposed to the budget legislators in the Bundestag to include in the plan the amount of 5 billion euros annually as military support, – Lindner reported.

How long this assistance will be needed depends on the progress of the war, he said.

I think we all hope that it ends as soon as possible“I,” added the head of the German Ministry of Finance.

He noted that fakes about Germany providing assistance to Ukraine are being spread through some channels, and he himself is called the Minister of Finance of Ukraine.

The minister stressed that Berlin is interested in supporting Ukraine because it is fighting for peace and freedom in Europe.

Lindner also warned that the worsening situation in Ukraine could lead to an influx of even more refugees.

On August 14, the head of the German Ministry of Finance visited Kyiv on an unannounced visit. This was his first visit to Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian special operation.
