He added that after his resignation he plans to continue “to support the government and its team in the process of European integration.”

The politician also informed that his successor in office, as well as the upcoming transformations in the Foreign Ministry and the government, will be announced later.

In turn, TASS, citing its sources in the government of Moldova, writes that Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mihai Popsoi will be appointed as the new head of the foreign affairs department.

And in the Cabinet of Ministers, according to them, a new position will be introduced – the head of the negotiation group on Chisinau’s accession to the European Union.

It is expected that Presidential Advisor Kristina Gerasimov will be appointed head of the group.
