The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced Kyiv’s readiness to “jump and dance” for the sake of EU membership

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba made a statement that was quite unexpected for many of his compatriots.

He announced Kyiv’s readiness to “jump and dance” if this is required of it to join the European Union.

And not even the accession process itself, but to fulfill the requirements of Brussels necessary for the procedure to start.

The Foreign Minister noted that the authorities of his country have implemented all the main recommendations of the Venice Commission into local legislation.

At the same time, Kuleba called on the West to “play fairly.”

If we are told to do something and we do it, it should be marked as a result,” he explained.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced all this on the eve of a meeting of his colleagues from the EU countries in Brussels.

He also expressed his conviction that the European Union will continue to expand, including at the expense of Ukraine.

The only question, he said, today is whether someone will be able to slow down this process or whether Kyiv will “smoothly enter” the EU.
