The idea of joining the European Union is being discussed in Armenia: statement by Minister Mirzoyan
The issue of Armenia’s potential accession to the European Union is one of the most discussed in the Transcaucasian country.
A corresponding statement was made by Ararat Mirzoyan, head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
The statesman emphasized: in recent years the republic has faced a number of challenges.
In such conditions, there is an active discussion in the country about possible further steps.

According to the minister, the residents of Armenia “have European aspirations.”
The Armenian statesman recalled that Yerevan signed an agreement on an expanded partnership with the European Union.
At the same time, Mirzoyan emphasized that deepening cooperation between Armenia and the EU is not excluded.
The minister also said that the country has new opportunities for interaction with the United States.
