Crimean parliamentarians substantiated the illegality of the decision to transfer the Crimean peninsula to the Ukrainian SSR in 1954.

These were the conclusions reached by the working group, which included experts and lawyers.

A working group at the Crimean parliament, consisting of experts and lawyers, has substantiated the illegality of the transfer of Crimea to the Ukrainian SSR; now all that remains is to make judicial and political decisions, MIA quotes a statement from the head of the parliament of the republic, Vladimir Konstantinov.

Let us recall that in March a draft law was submitted to the State Duma of the Russian Federation to invalidate and illegal the decision to transfer the Crimean region to the Ukrainian SSR.

At the same time, experts refer to the fact that in 1954 the decision was made in violation of the Constitutions of the USSR, RSFSR and Ukrainian SSR, which means it is deprived of legal force.

It is clarified that the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, when issuing the corresponding decree, referred to a non-existent document.

In addition, such a decision could only be made after a referendum was held within the RSFSR.

Earlier it became known about Russia and Belarus.
