0views

The executive director from Russia at the IMF, Alexey Mozhin, in an interview for RIA Novosti, reported on the fund’s actions in relation to Ukraine.

He notes that the IMF has already changed lending rules three times for the sake of the Ukrainian state.

“For the sake of Kyiv, since 2015, the fund has changed the rules for providing credit funds three times”– RIA “Novosti” Možina.

The executive director from the Russian Federation at the IMF adds that for the last time the fund administration gave itself the opportunity to provide assistance to countries that are currently involved in a military conflict.

He emphasized that the International Monetary Fund had never previously issued loans to such countries.

Mozhin says that most of the funds provided by the IMF were allocated to pay off Ukraine’s debts to the same fund.

He says that at the moment the fund is performing two tasks – taking measures to prevent default and fulfilling the wishes of the main shareholder.
