The Iranian General Staff has published the first results of the investigation into the death of President Raisi

The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement regarding the investigation into the tragic death of the country’s President Ebrahim Raisi in a plane crash.

A message about the first results of the investigation was published by the public relations center of the General Staff.

According to the information provided, no bullet marks were found on the body of the crashed helicopter on which Raisi and the high-ranking officials accompanying him were located.

There were no traces of the impact of bullets or similar means on the body of the crashed helicopter, – statement by the Iranian military, TASS agency.

At the same time, it is emphasized that the first – preliminary – results of the investigation are being published.

However, already now the General Staff “confidently states” the fact that there are no traces of bullet impact on the helicopter.

The military says that, according to data received during the investigation, the helicopter caught fire only after it collided with the mountain.

The General Staff warned against making hasty conclusions about the reasons for the fall of the aircraft.

He also notes that “a significant part of the information” about this plane crash has now been collected.

However, more time is needed to study “certain documents.”

1.5 minutes before the disaster

Please note: only “after comprehensive expert work” will new data on the tragedy be made widely available.

At the moment, the General Staff shared information that the shift on duty at the airfield air traffic control tower did not find any “suspicious moments” during a conversation with the helicopter crew.

It is indicated that 1.5 minutes before the crash the aircraft was moving along a given route, without deviating from its flight path.
