The helicopter carrying Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi made a hard landing.

This happened near the Iranian settlement of Verzegan, not far from the border with Azerbaijan.

This was reported with reference to the Information Agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In addition to Raisi, the aircraft was carrying another person holding a high government position in an Asian country.

We are talking about the head of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Hossein Amir Ablollahian.

In addition, there were other officials on board the helicopter.

It is reported that rescuers have been sent to the site of the hard landing of the aircraft.

Problems cannot be ruled out during the rescue operation: terrain features and difficult weather conditions interfere.
