The largest accommodation center for refugees from Ukraine has been closed in Nadarzyn, Poland.
This was reported by the Polish radio station RMF FM.
Why was the center closed?
According to the report, it was decided to close the refugee accommodation center in the Ptak Warsaw Expo shopping and entertainment center in Nadarzyn due to a decrease in the number of Ukrainian citizens coming to the country.
According to the radio station, several hundred people had to leave the center.
They found out about it in a few hours – noted in the message.
Last spring, up to 9,000 Ukrainian refugees lived in this center. Shortly before the closure, approximately 300 people remained at the center.
According to RMF FM, they were transferred to other centers, and some found housing themselves.
According to various estimates, Poland accepted from 1 to 1.5 million Ukrainian refugees.
Since March of this year, Ukrainian refugees staying in Poland for more than 180 days must pay 75% of the cost of housing.
