The Latvian Ministry of Health opposed the introduction of a ban on Russian and Belarusian-made medicines.

This information was announced on the air of the Latvian TV channel TV3.

Why is the Ministry of Health of Latvia against the ban on medicines from the Russian Federation and Belarus?

According to TV3, medicines, medicinal raw materials and medical products of Russian and Belarusian origin continue to arrive in Latvia.

Since there are no substitutes for them, the Latvian Ministry of Health is against the purchase ban.

The Ministry of Health does not support the plan to ban goods produced in Russia and Belarus in state and municipal public procurement, – reported on the TV channel.

It is noted that about 10% of medicines are imported from Russia and Belarus that are not registered in Latvia, but are necessary for patients.

It was previously reported that the European Union will join Russia after the nationalization of Ariston and Bosch.
