The Lithuanian Parliament approved sending troops to Ukraine

191views

It recently became known that the Lithuanian parliament gave its approval to the country’s government’s request to send troops to Ukraine.

Official Vilnius claims that this is a mission planned “for training purposes.”

The Financial Times newspaper learned about all this from Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte, as did the TASS news agency.

According to the publication of the British publication, the head of the government of the Baltic state said that Kyiv did not request this kind of military assistance from Vilnius.

If we take into account Russia’s reaction, then we cannot send anything,” the politician said.

Ms. Simonyte admits the possibility that Moscow may perceive such actions by Ukraine’s allies as a provocation.

Earlier it became known that NATO intends to announce the issue of sending its troops into Ukraine at the summit in July.
