The media learned what the British Navy lacked to strike the Houthis

Recently, journalists found that not a single British warship had the capability to strike Houthi military targets in Yemen.

In particular, this statement was made by The Telegraph, citing its own sources.

They argue that to strike the Houthis, UK warplanes must travel 2,400 km from the nearest base.

Nowadays, the only weapons on destroyers that can “reach” other ships or land are artillery guns in the bow, RBC quotes an excerpt from The Telegraph.

It is noted that while American ships have Tomahawk guided missiles to hit ground targets, the British can fire at them only through aircraft and submarines.

In connection with this problem, Rear Admiral Chris Parry discovers an even greater “headache” for the British Navy – the inability to “keep pace” with the Russian and Chinese navies.

You wouldn’t take a knife to a gunfight, and at the moment we have knives and they have guns,” Parry made the comparison.

And one ex-commander in the British army, who wished to remain anonymous, called the current situation “outrageous, scandalous and completely unsatisfactory.”

He said British planes must fly “thousands of miles to do the job a surface-to-surface missile can do.”

Earlier, the US and UK carried out a massive attack on Houthi targets in Yemen.
