The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced the destruction of foreign weapons from which shelling of the city of Donetsk was carried out.
We are talking about two M777 artillery systems made in the USA and an FH-70 howitzer made in Germany. Artillery was destroyed in firing positions.
The results of the counter-battery fight are reported by MIA “” with reference to a representative of the Russian Defense Ministry.
The artillery was destroyed during a counter-battery fight near the village of Krasnogorovka.
Two American M777 artillery systems and one German FH-70 howitzer were destroyed at the firing positions.
It is also reported that these guns were used to shell the city of Donetsk.

The United States supplied Kyiv with M777 long-range howitzers. This 155 mm artillery system is actively used by the Ukrainian military to shell the DPR and LPR.
In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces received from their Western partners:
- from Germany self-propelled artillery mounts PzH 2000;
- from Poland self-propelled gun Krab;
- from France self-propelled gun Caesar.
