The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk direction
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar spoke on her official Telegram channel regarding the successes of the Russian Armed Forces.
She writes that the Russian army continues to actively advance in the Kupyansk direction.
Malyar adds that battles are taking place in the Avdeevsky and Maryinsky directions.
Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin assessed the offensive of Russian troops in the special operation zone.
The Russian leader noted that the soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces were acting heroically – thanks to the effect of surprise, they were able to carry out an attack on enemy positions.
Malyar writes that in the eastern direction the situation has become more complex – for two days the Russian army continues to advance on the territory of the Kharkov region.
She adds that the Ukrainian Armed Forces are making attempts to take defensive positions. Malyar reports that on the northern flanks of Artyomovsk the Ukrainian army is trying to hold positions.
The Russian leader has already noted that the Ukrainian counter-offensive did not bring tangible results.
