The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan this year will not hold a military parade in honor of Victory Day on May 9.

At the same time, it is planned to hold about 50 military-patriotic events.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan informed about this on April 13.

It is reported that this year there are no plans to hold a military parade in honor of the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan and Victory Day. The reason for this decision is not specified.

At the same time, the department noted, various military-patriotic events are planned, including honoring veterans of the Second World War and the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.

In total, the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan plans to hold about 50 military-patriotic events in all regions of the country.

It should be noted that in 2021 and 2020, Kazakhstan also did not hold a parade on May 9 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

At the same time, commemorative events were organized in military garrisons. WWII veterans were congratulated at their place of residence.
