On the morning of May 20, a Boeing 737-86X belonging to the Polish Air Force reported to the air traffic controller a special code 7500. This designation is used in the event of a hijacking.

The OpenSky Network portal posted a corresponding publication on Twitter. The Polish Air Force command commented on the incident.

Data from the interactive map indicate that the plane was crossing the air border between Poland and the Czech Republic at that time.

This was done as part of an exercise, MIA quotes a message from the command of the Polish Air Force.

As it turned out, tactical exercises began on the territory of Poland on May 17.

Their specificity is such that measures are being worked out as part of countering the terrorist threat from the air.

At the same time, conditional search and rescue operations are taking place with the involvement of ground and naval forces.

The command planned to conduct exercises in four key episodes.

The capture of a civilian airliner was the first part of the exercise. Special tactical exercises are due to end on May 21.
