The Polish Ministry of Defense denied the statement of the head of the department about the arrival of the Patriot air defense system in Ukraine

The Polish Ministry of Defense has denied the statement of the head of the department, Mariusz Blaszczak, about the arrival of American Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems in Ukraine.

The department said the minister’s words were misinterpreted.

Clarification from the Polish Ministry of Defense

As previously reported, the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense in an interview with Spanish media said that thanks to the efforts of Warsaw, Patriot batteries arrived in Ukraine.

The Polish Ministry of Defense denied this information, explaining the appearance in an interview of words about Ukraine receiving Patriot as a translation error.

Blaszczak’s intention was to indicate that the decision to transfer the Patriot battery was made thanks to the efforts of Poland– stated in the department.
