The population of Austria, unvaccinated against COVID-19, is preparing for the introduction of a personal lockdown

In light of the events of the last two years, it might seem that the world’s population was so tired of staying at home that they would welcome a vaccine and line up to get vaccinated just to break free.

But Covid is stubborn and does not give up, and governments are developing more and more unpopular measures.

The Austrian government is preparing a personal lockdown for compatriots who have not been vaccinated against the COVID-19 coronavirus, MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

The corresponding decision was announced by Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg.

It is planned that the next batch of restrictions will apply exclusively to Austrians who have not yet completed the vaccination procedure.

According to the politician, he was prompted to make such a decision by the not entirely favorable situation with the incidence of COVID-19 in the country.

It is known that over the past 24 hours, Austrian doctors have confirmed another 11,798 new cases of COVID-19 infection and reported 40 patients who died from coronavirus.

Starting from November 8, Austria has already introduced some restrictions for the unvaccinated. Now these people are closed not only to restaurants and hotels, but even to hairdressers.

Austrians must confirm that they have had the disease or have been vaccinated. The option to present COVID test results is no longer available.

A national lockdown for the unvaccinated in Austria could be introduced as early as this Sunday.
