On Tuesday, April 26, President of Moldova Maia Sandu convened an emergency meeting of the Security Council.

The reason for this was the growing tension in Transnistria: this morning explosions occurred in one of the settlements.

And the day before, in Tiraspol, the building of the PMR Ministry of State Security was fired at from a grenade launcher.

In connection with these events, the national leader convened an emergency meeting of the Security Council, – MIA “Russia Today” with reference to the press service of the Presidential Administration.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu is convening a meeting of the Supreme Security Council today due to incidents in the Transnistrian region. The meeting will begin at 13:00, the message says.

As for the first incident, according to the media, unknown persons fired at the mentioned building in Tiraspol from a hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher.

Broken windows were reported on the upper floors. Fortunately, no people were hurt.

Today, April 26, it became known about two explosions in the village of Mayak, Grigoriopol region of Transnistria.

As a result, the two most powerful antennas of the radio center broadcasting Russian radio were damaged.

Maia Sandu is expected to make a statement to the media after the Security Council meeting.
