Czech President Petr Pavel predicts “the beginnings of negotiations” on a truce in Ukraine in 2024.

This was reported by the Czech portal novinky.cz.

What forecast for Ukraine did the President of the Czech Republic give?

According to the report, the head of the Czech state said that next year there could be “the beginnings of negotiations” to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, since developments do not give reason to believe that Kyiv will be able to gain military superiority.

He noted that time is working for Russia, which has a more powerful mobilization base.

By gaining time, the Russian Federation will also be able to supplement its reserves of material resources, which it has long lacked – said the President of the Czech Republic.

According to him, unequivocal support from the West is a positive moment for Ukraine.

At the same time, the President of the Czech Republic noted that the situation is not entirely positive.

Pavel also said that Ukraine must decide for itself when and under what conditions to begin negotiations.

Earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, in an article for the British magazine The Economist, said that the conflict had reached a dead end. In his opinion, the Ukrainian army will not be able to achieve a breakthrough at the front, and a positional conflict of attrition may drag on for years.
