The price of gas in Europe exceeded the $1,000 mark: this happened for the first time in history

0views

The cost of one thousand cubic meters of natural gas is more than $1,000.

This mark was exceeded today, September 28.

This was reported by news agencies with reference to data from the Intercontinental Exchange network.

Until today, 1000 cubic meters of blue fuel have never cost more than 1 thousand dollars in Europe.

However, now the situation has changed. At some points this morning the price of gas was over $1,030.

The cost has now dropped to about $1,010. However, this is still a very high figure.

Why is gas becoming more expensive in Europe?

The difficult situation with the cost of fuel became noticeable back in August. Gas prices began to rise in the final month of summer.

Later, several record levels were reached: 800, 900 and 950 dollars per thousand cubic meters.

It is noted that the reason for the sharp increase in prices was the lack of fuel in European gas storage facilities.

In addition, problems with supplies from Russia could also affect the situation. It is possible that in the coming winter some European countries may face serious problems due to expensive gas.
