Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze said: a certain official from the European Union has made a serious threat against him.
The head of government said: it was that he was predicted to repeat the fate of his Slovak colleague Robert Fico.
Even against the background of many years of blackmail, the threat voiced in a telephone conversation with one of the European Commissioners was astonishing. – Georgian politician MIA “Russia Today”.
According to the prime minister, the interlocutor told him a number of measures that EU officials could take if Georgia overrides the veto on the law “On Transparency of Foreign Influence.”
“You saw what happened to Fico, you must be very careful,” Kobakhidze quotes the words he heard about himself.
At the same time, the Prime Minister informed that Georgia had become accustomed to threats from other countries that rained down on the country after the adoption of the above-mentioned law.
However, the current threat was of “particular concern” to the head of government.
Kobakhidze added: the mention of the assassination attempt on Fico indicates that Tbilisi is faced with an extremely dangerous force that wants to sow unrest and chaos in Georgian lands.
Earlier it became known that the Slovak Ministry of Internal Affairs believed that the person who shot Fico did not act alone.
