The Prime Minister of Slovakia threatened to stop supplies of diesel to Ukraine

The Slovak oil refinery Slovnaft may stop supplying diesel fuel to Ukraine.

This threat was made by Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico through a video message on one of the social networks.

The politician named a condition under which supplies could stop – if Kyiv does not resume oil transit from Russia.

If the transit of Russian oil through Ukraine is not restored soon, Slovnaft will not continue to supply diesel fuel to Ukraine. – Fico MIA “Russia Today”.

He also said that he had conveyed to the Ukrainian ambassador information about a technical solution regarding the resumption of Russian fuel supplies.

Previously, the corresponding decision was brought to the attention of the Kyiv authorities as an initiative, noted the head of the Slovak government.

And he reminded: supplies from his country’s refineries cover 1/10 of all diesel consumption in Ukraine.

Fico thinks that compliance with “this absurd sanction” will primarily harm Ukraine itself, as well as Slovakia and Hungary, while it will hardly affect the Russian Federation.

He also said that the current situation will not change Bratislava’s position on the issue of the conflict in Ukraine.

Fico insists on an early truce and opposes the artificial prolongation of hostilities.

And he sees the extension as “an unrealistic goal to bring Russia to its knees and a real goal to line the pockets of gunsmiths even more.”
