The Russian Foreign Ministry responded to Macron after the announcement of a truce for the duration of the Olympic Games
French President Emmanuel Macron has been in the spotlight of the world media for several weeks now.
Since February 26, the politician has made several statements regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict about the supply of weapons and even the sending of the French military to Ukraine.
On the eve of the Olympic Games, the French President unexpectedly spoke about the need for a ceasefire, to which the Russian Foreign Ministry immediately responded.
In particular, Macron said that he would propose to Russia a ceasefire during the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Before this, it became known that the French President decided not to rule out the possibility of sending military personnel to Ukraine to participate in ground operations.
However, he immediately explained that he did not intend to initiate such a scenario.
