0views

Russian investigators have brought another charge against opposition figure Alexei Navalny.

This time, the blogger is accused of creating an organization that infringes on the identity and rights of citizens.

This is the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

It is known that the oppositionist founded the Anti-Corruption Foundation.

Later, this organization was recognized as a foreign agent, and then completely liquidated as extremist. This was the court’s decision.

Navalny was one of the leaders of FBK. Ivan Zhdanov and Leonid Volkov were engaged in similar activities.

As Russian law enforcement officers found out, as part of the organization’s activities, Russians were encouraged to break the law.

It is noted that Navalny and his associates posted calls on their personal pages on social networks to participate in unauthorized mass events at the beginning of 2021. The messages were published on behalf of FBK.

Investigators note that the blogger knew about the illegality of the rallies he organized.

At the moment, the Investigative Committee continues to investigate the case and establish all the circumstances of the incident.

Let us remember that in February of this year, Navalny received a real sentence instead of a suspended sentence. The court sentenced him to 2 years and 8 months in prison. At the moment, the Russian oppositionist is serving his sentence in one of the correctional colonies of the Russian Federation.
