The Security Service of Ukraine searched the work premises of the rector of the Pochaev Theological Seminary.
The seminary was built on the territory of the city of Pochaev, located in the Ternopil region.
RIA Novosti that the SBU conducted a search of the bishop of the Ternopil diocese of the UOC and the rector of the Job Seminary.
The reason for the search was the suspicion that the rector supported the political course of Russia.
During the search, Russian literature was found on him, which he used to promote Russian values and agitation against the Ukrainian authorities.
The SBU provided photographs of two books written in Russian – library forms were pasted on them.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Security Service announced that it intended to conduct counterintelligence activities on the territory of the Chernivtsi-Bukovina diocese of the UOC.
Even earlier, the SBU had already conducted a search on the territory of the Kiev Pechersk Lavra and monasteries.
