The Slovak government has approved the transfer of 13 MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine.

The Prime Minister of this country, Eduard Heger, notified the general public about this on Friday, March 17.

The Slovak government has just approved the transfer of 13 MiG-29s to Ukraine, – high-ranking politician TASS agency.

According to him, the president and speaker of parliament are familiar with the government’s decision and agree.

Previously, the media reported that the Slovak Air Force has 11 MiG-29 fighters at its disposal.

The country’s Defense Minister Jaroslav Nagy claimed that these combat aircraft had been taken out of service.

According to his statement, for several years now pilots have not been trained in Slovakia to fly these fighters.

Russia sent a note to NATO countries back in the spring of last year regarding arms supplies to Ukraine.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that any cargo with military equipment for Kyiv would become a legitimate target for the Russian army.
