Law enforcement officers in Slovakia are checking the version that the person who committed the attempt on the country’s Prime Minister may not have acted alone.

The Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic, Matus Shutai-Eshtok, informed the general public about this at a special press conference.

Two hours after the incident, his history on the social network Facebook* was erased; this was not done by him or his wife, – Head of the department of MIA “Russia Today”.

Currently, investigators are checking the theory that the shooter could have been incited to commit an attempt on the life of Robert Fico.

Let us remind you that the assassination attempt on the head of the government of Slovakia took place on May 15 in the city of Gandlova, where he spoke to local residents.

At some point, five shots were heard – 4 bullets hit Fico, one pierced his stomach.

The politician was taken by helicopter to a hospital in Banska Bystrica, where he underwent surgery, after which doctors put the prime minister into an artificial coma.

The shooter was detained at the crime scene. It turned out that 71-year-old writer Juraj Cintula opened fire. He was guided, according to media reports, by political motives.

According to local laws, the man faces from 25 years to life imprisonment for the committed act.

Earlier, new data appeared about the Slovak Prime Minister who survived the assassination attempt.
