The Taliban launched an offensive on the Afghan capital Kabul

0views

Afghan authorities said that supporters of the Taliban movement have launched an attack on the country’s capital, Kabul.

It is noted that earlier the radicals surrounded the city and began to enter it.

This was reported by news agencies with reference to data from the Afghan Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Information about some captured objects appears.

However, there is evidence of the beginning of negotiations between the Taliban and the Afghan government.

Situation in Afghanistan

Taliban militants began advancing on various Afghan towns after US troops left the country.

The offensive began in May. A month later, several dozen areas were under the control of the Islamist movement.

By mid-summer, the Taliban had captured a significant part of Afghanistan.

It was recently reported that militants control 90 percent of the country and almost all major population centers, with the exception of Kabul and Jalalabad.

It is now known that the second city is already under the control of Taliban supporters.
