The time frame for Germany’s recovery after the floods has been announced

0views

Experts have calculated how long it will take to restore the affected regions as a result of the devastating floods in Germany.

Representatives of the Central Union of the German Construction Industry worked on this issue. It is believed that recovery will take several years.

Experts recalled the consequences of the Elbe flood that occurred in 2002.

Then it took almost 3 years to eliminate large-scale damage, and another 5 years to restore and put in order the affected areas.

The exact dates can only be announced after government and business representatives provide the builders with the necessary support.

Currently, specialists are faced with a shortage of building materials.

The restoration process is complicated by the destruction of bridges and roads, which forces detours.

Let us remind you that the flooding in Germany began on July 12.

The states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate were hit the hardest.

Heavy rainfall caused a real flood, as a result of which 160 people died and more than 1,000 residents went missing.
