The Ukrainian general announced the strengthening of positions on the border with the Republic of Belarus
The commander of the Ukrainian joint forces, Sergei Naev, spoke on his official Telegram channel about the situation near the borders of the Republic of Belarus.
He reports that the Ukrainian Armed Forces, through personnel and military equipment, will strengthen its positions near the border of Ukraine and Belarus.
Naev notes that the decision to strengthen the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area was made due to the growing tension around the situation with the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant.
For this reason, additional soldiers and military equipment were sent to units in this area.
Naev notes that anti-tank barriers are being erected near the Belarusian-Ukrainian border, mines are being laid and other fortifications are being created.
Earlier, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky gave instructions to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny to strengthen the Belarusian direction.
